Today’s Trades: GOOGL, CVX, DFP

My 50% profit target was hit on the $GOOGL Nov $155 short put option.

I used the freed up cash to:

Sell a Chevron $CVX put option.
YOU SOLD OPENING TRANSACTION PUT (CVX) CHEVRON CORP NEW COM NOV 15 24 $145 (100 SHS) (Cash) @ $2.29 ($229), representing an annualized yield of 18.60%.
Chevron is a Divident Aristocrat that pays a 4.30% dividend, so I would not mind owning this stock if it gets assigned to me.
Flaherty & Crumrine Dynamic Preferred and Income Fund $DFP
  • Added 65 shares
  • Pays 6.33% monthly distribution
  • Currently selling at a 5.51% discount
  • I am now adding to preferred stocks and limited duration bonds to get more yield than 3 month T-Bills are paying

Today’s Trades: NEE-PR, DFP, LDP, SGOV

Today I had a short term T-bill mature, so I used those funds to buy some higher-yielding investments. As interest rates come down, T-bills will no longer be as attractive, so I am adding to my holdings in preferred stocks and limited duration bonds.
